Quebec Privacy Notice (Law 25)
PRIVACY POLICY ADDENDUM – QUEBEC RESIDENTS (Law 25)
This addendum supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies specifically to residents of Quebec, in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), which imposes stricter requirements than federal law (PIPEDA).

3. Tracking Technologies We Use
In addition to the standard cookies described in our general Privacy Policy, we use the following third-party tools to understand site usage and improve our advertising:
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — collects data about your interactions with our site to help us measure and optimize advertising performance on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). This may include page views, purchases, and other on-site activity, and may be used to build custom or lookalike advertising audiences.
- Microsoft Clarity — collects behavioral analytics data (such as scroll depth, clicks, and session recordings) to help us understand how visitors use our site and improve the user experience.
You can manage your preferences for these tools at any time through the cookie consent banner displayed on our site. Disabling certain tools may affect the personalized experience or advertising you see, but will not affect your ability to browse or purchase from the site.
4. Retention Periods (Quebec-Specific Detail)
While our general Privacy Policy explains that retention depends on legal and business needs, the following specific periods apply to Quebec residents:

- Request that we cease disseminating your personal information or de-index a hyperlink attached to your name, where the dissemination of that information violates the law or a court order.
6. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your personal information to render decisions based exclusively on automated processing (e.g., automated profiling or scoring that produces legal or similarly significant effects) without human involvement. Should this change, you will be informed of the logic involved and your right to submit observations.

8. International/Interprovincial Transfers
Currently, HushLab's data is hosted and processed within Canada via Shopify's Canadian infrastructure. Should we transfer personal information outside Quebec in the future, we will conduct a privacy impact assessment as required under Law 25 to ensure the information receives adequate protection.
